Why I'm building Vera
More understanding, before the first conversation.
Online dating can make it easy to move quickly while learning very little about the person behind a profile. I want to explore a more thoughtful way to meet, where people have room to share what matters to them and what kind of relationship they hope to build.
Vera is my attempt to make introductions feel more sincere: more context, clearer intentions, and more choice over what to share. It is an early concept, not a live matchmaking service.
Outside, in Oregon
An underrated place to explore.
I enjoy getting outdoors in Oregon, from forest trails to the coast and open high desert. The landscape has so much variety, and there is always another quiet place or new view worth discovering.
Oregon can be underrated when people focus only on its best-known destinations. For me, its appeal is in that range of places and the easy invitation to spend a day outside.
Relationship intention
A serious relationship,
with marriage in mind.
I'm hoping to meet someone who shares the intention to build a lasting relationship, with marriage as the long-term goal.
This is an illustrative Vera profile. The matchmaking service is not live.
